Through their YOUNG ARTS sponsorship CHALFONT FINE ARTS have enabled a local Special School to offer Art and Music to pupils who no longer have Art and Music lessons through lack of funds. A total of £1,000 has been given to Stony Dean School, Amersham over the past two years so that older pupils can continue to experience and benefit from these subjects. They are so important for pupils who find normal learning a problem and they offer particular satisfaction and stimulation.

Workshops were arranged by the school and funded by Chalfont Fine Arts on three occasions. Pupils were able to take part in activities and produce a concert and an art display, led by specialist teachers who were employed for the workshops. One of these was attended by Chalfont fine Arts members who were thrilled by what they saw the pupils had been able to achieve. We are continuing our links with Stony Dean and will provide further workshops.
