It is hoped that every member of NADFAS will make some contribution to works which we sponsor as a society. Chalfont Fine Arts has a strong tradition of providing stewards and guides for two local historical places of interest. More than forty members are involved.
Chenies Manor was the place where the idea of NADFAS had its origin many years ago and it is fitting that we
provide guides and stewards for the gate, the herb garden and the shop. Thus we provide a service for the public
and for a historic house which gives those of us who partake much satisfaction and pleasure. We meet many interesting people and have benefited from getting to know each other too. We do this on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from Easter to the end of October.
Milton's Cottage at Chalfont St Giles is our other location and stewarding there gives similar opportunities to meet the public and to help the museum. We offer this on Tuesdays between March and October. The friendly atmosphere makes this a pleasure too and a regular team carries it out.
